Throughout the years,mm has produced some of the biggest hits in rock history. The band has a handful of tunes that rank among the most recognizable and beloved in the hard rock field, and they’re the kind of smashes that don’t dwindle in popularity–seemingly ever.
One of AC/DC’s most popular cuts is rising once again, as listeners around the world continue to press play on streaming platforms and buy it in healthy sums. “Thunderstruck” is currently sitting higher than ever before on one Billboard tally–an impressive accomplishment for a tune that was released decades ago.
Currently, “Thunderstruck” ranks as AC/DC’s second-highest-ranking hit on the Billboard Global 200. If the tune continues its slow-but-steady ascent, it may soon tie, or even pass, another one of the group’s singles and become their biggest win on the tally.
Two other tunes from the Australian hard rockers have also spent a short time on the same chart. “Shot in the Dark” landed at No. 150 in 2020, and it disappeared the following frame. “Back In Black” only rose as high as No. 191, though it managed half a dozen stays on the ranking.
