Florida Football loses commit to Miami after 104 days.

Last year when the losses started to pile up for Florida Football, we saw a wave of decommits that sank Florida’s top three recruiting class outside of the top 10. This go around, Florida has struggled to even assemble a solid base of a class and has seen guys from the class already jump ship as Florida is off to a 3-2 start.

 

That theme has continued as a key wide receiver the Gators picked up in June has already jumped ship just 104 days after his commitment to Florida.

Florida Football: Sinking Ship

Joshua Moore is considered a composite top 200 player nationally out of Pembroke Pines. The wide receiver committed to the Gators back on June 26th, and at the time when it looked like he was going to be a Gator, we said, “Based on film, there is no questioning that Moore is a four-star prospect. His catch radius and athleticism should play well at the next level.”

Moore appeared to be down to Florida and FSU when he made his commitment, but Miami and Georgia were in the picture. As the season progressed, Moore made treks to Gainesville, but Miami also started to emerge as an option.

Moore made it official on Tuesday that he would not be coming to Gainesville anymore as he flipped his commitment to Miami after just 104 days as a Gator.

The problem for Florida is that they have 12 commits for their class of 2025, are in the 247 Composite rankings, are now 37th in the country, and have fallen back to 15th in the SEC.
