  • Dorian Finney-Smith: In late December 2024, the Lakers acquired forward Dorian Finney-Smith from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Maxwell Lewis, D’Angelo Russell, and three future second-round picks. Finney-Smith brings versatility and defensive prowess to the forward position.
  • Luka Doncic: A transformative move occurred in February 2025 when the Lakers traded Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for star guard Luka Doncic.
