JUST NOW: Geddy Lee has received a deviating news…

Geddy Lee’s been doing plenty of writing since Rush came to an end in 2018. It just hasn’t been music.

During the interim, Lee, 70, has become an author of note. His acclaimed “Geddy Lee’s Big Beautiful Book of Bass” also arrived in 2018, documenting his collection of more than 250 instruments as well as interviewing other players and bass designers. Now, he’s out with a memoir, “My Effin’ Life,” which lets readers get truly closer to Lee’s heart over its 512 pages, giving us not only lots of Rush details but a deep dig into the rest of his effin’ life, from growing up in Toronto (born Gershon Elieizer Weinrib) as the son of Holocaust survivors and losing his father when Lee was just 12.
