The Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), defending champions of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) recently announced changes to their support staff for CPL 2021 season.

 

Head Coach Brendon McCullum is unavailable for CPL 2021, due to personal reasons & COVID19-related travel restrictions. Consequently, TKR has appointed The University of Trinidad and Tobago’s (UTT) Senior Sport Officer, Imran Jan as the Head Coach for CPL 2021.

 

Jan, a former Trinidad & Tobago captain and West Indies A cricketer himself, has been a part of the TKR setup from inception, as Assistant Coach.

 

Additionally, Dinanath Ramnarine, former West Indies player, has joined the support staff as Advisor. Ramnarine represented the West Indies in twelve Tests and four ODIs in an international career spanning five years, from 1997 to 2002.

 

In defence of their title, TKR will play their first game on 26 August versus Guyana Amazon Warriors at Warner Park, St. Kitts & Nevis.
