Rachel Riley reacts as Susie Dent gets suspended from Twitter for ‘messing with Countdown’
RACHEL RILEY has spoken out after her Countdown co-star Susie Dent’s Twitter account was seemingly suspended earlier today.
Countdown star Rachel Riley took to social media today to inform fans that her co-star Susie Dent’s Twitter account had been suspended, but all was not as it seemed. The pregnant TV star shared a screenshot of the temporarily closed account impersonating her colleague, with her 685,600 followers to prove the point.
“That’s what you get for messing with Countdown,” she wrote, alongside her post earlier today.
She was replying to a tweet from Pointless host Richard Osman, 50, where he spoke about a “quiz reshuffle”, in light of the recent cabinet reshuffle in the UK government.
He joked that 56-year-old Susie, who has been on Countdown for almost 30 years, was going to star in Pointless to switch things up.
“Am hearing @susiedent to ‘Pointless’,” he began, before offering up some other suggestions.
“@benshephard to ‘Only Connect’ and John Humphreys to ‘Tipping Point’. Bradley Walsh staying at ‘The Chase’ for now. #QuizReshuffle.”
Following Rachel’s post about the suspended account, he light-heartedly hit back: “That’s about time.
“The filth we have to put up with from her every day.”
“You don’t know the half of it…” the 35-year-old mum-of-one replied with an embarrassed face emoji.
