ITV GMB: Kate Garraway caught off guard during on-set regional blunder

GOOD MORNING BRITAIN caught a regional presenter off guard this morning, when a delayed cut back to Kate Garraway in the London studio meant both newsreaders were left in an awkward position.

Following the weather report for London, the news anchor for the region was left in an awkward situation on Good Morning Britain.

The presenter threw back to the ITV London studio, saying to the camera: “Back now to Adil and Kate.”

An awkward silence then fell, with the presenter standing and smiling to the camera in hope that the feed had gone back to the main studio.

The news anchor was unaware of the blunder and didn’t know that she was still on camera.

Just before the camera cut to the London studio, the news anchor continued to talk: “So I could say…”

A mumbled voice could be heard out of the presenter’s microphone range, seemingly referring to the mishap.

Kate Garraway, 51, then appeared as the switch to the ITV studios was made as she was in the midst of reporting.

The presenter was talking about the music being played by the guests which had been aired while the blunder occurred.

The TV presenter is standing in as 47-year-old Susanna Reid’s replacement while the main news anchor is taking her summer holidays.
