The Itallian journalist reported via X (20 June) that the Toffees and the Villains have agreed a £9million fee for the midfielder.
Iroegbunam is now set to undergo his medical ahead of completing his switch to Goodison Park.
Everton will then turn their attention toward completing a loan deal for Leeds United forward Jack Harrison.
Everton set to sign Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa
Things are starting to look up for the Toffees.
It has been a miserable season at Goodison Park which was only saved by the fact that the club were able to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Takeover drama, financial uncertainty and points deductions have hung over the club like a grey cloud. However, it finally looks as if they have some positive news to read about.
Iroegbunam is a talented player who just wasn’t given a chance at Villa Park. He will no doubt be handed more minutes at Everton and could therefore begin to fulfil his potential.
Should the exit-linked Amadou Onana leave Everton the club now at least have a ready-made replacement for the Belgian.
