When I first came to South Carolina, I came with a vision — not just to win, but to create a program that reflected the heart of this state. A program built on resilience, on sisterhood, on purpose. Over the years, we’ve grown together, celebrated together, and faced challenges together. You stood with us, game after game, year after year.
This year’s journey was nothing short of incredible. But it wasn’t just about cutting down nets — it was about the bond that grew between our players and this community. It was about watching young women grow into leaders. It was about hearing you in the stands, game after game, making Colonial Life Arena the most electric place in college basketball.

As a kid growing up right here in Columbia, I dreamed of wearing that Garnet and Black. I used to watch Coach Staley’s teams and think, “I want to be part of that.” Now, being on this side of it — representing my hometown, my state, my people — it means everything.
This season, every time I stepped on the court, I carried South Carolina with me. Your voices gave me energy. Your belief gave me confidence. To every little girl who dreams like I did — keep going. I promise, there’s something magical waiting for you on the other side of hard work.
