Andreas Kisser Invites Max and Igor Cavalera to Perform at Final Sepultura Concert.

Sepultura are currently in the midst of their farewell tour, an ongoing 40th anniversary celebration of the Brazilian band that’s expected to extend into 2026.

The thrash vets are pulling all the stops for their final tour, recording an accompanying live album that will cull 40 different songs from 40 different cities  an impressive feat considering the group went through a drummer change with Eloy Casagrande leaving for Slipknot just before the trek.

Longtime guitarist Andreas Kisser discussed the tour in a new interview, revealing plans for a final Sepultura in São Paulo, Brazil, sometime in 2026. He also extended an invite to founding members, the brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, to join the band onstage during that special farewell show.

We like to invite all the ex-members, including the brothers, Cavalera brothers,” Kisser told YouTube channel Moshpit Passion. “Let’s see what happens. We’re working towards that, to have a big celebration for the fans.”

The guitarist continued, acknowledging the acrimony that led to the Cavalera brothers initially splintering off from Sepultura years ago: “We don’t care who is right or wrong. We’re never gonna get to that point. [Laughs] We have different point of views and different perspectives about same historical events and stuff. So let’s jam, let’s have a good time for the fans, for us, for ourselves, and really close this amazing 43 years or 44, whatever it’s gonna be at the time, in peace with ourselves…”

Max exited the band in 1996, going on to form Soulfly, while Igor left Sepultura in 2006 as the brothers formed their Cavalera Conspiracy project.

While the brothers and Sepultura went their separate ways, Max and Igor are still celebrating the musical legacy of the band they formed back in 1984, touring classic Sepultura material and re-imagining the band’s early albums with newly recorded versions.
