When NCAA transfer portal officially opens Dec. 5, the Kentucky football team will join others around the country in competing for key additions to its 2023 roster.
Head coach Mark Stoops and the Wildcats had big contributions from several portal acquisitions en route to a 7-5 finish to the 2022 regular season, which clinched the program’s seventh consecutive bowl appearance. Former Virginia Tech wide receiver Tayvion Robinson was a playmaker on the offensive side of the ball for second-year transfer quarterback Will Levis, while Keidron Smith (Ole Miss) and Zion Childress (Texas State) shored up the defensive seco
ndary.
