The Los Angeles Lakers have released their injury report vs. Memphis
The Los Angeles Lakers are set to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night, and star forward LeBron James is being listed as questionable on the injury report with left ankle peroneal tendinopathy.
James has appeared on the injury report with this listing several times in recent weeks, and has usually been able to play. The final two regular season games are huge for Los Angeles, as they currently sit in the 10th seed, but have the exact same record as both the eighth seed Sacramento Kings and ninth seed Golden State Warriors. Without the tiebreaker over Sacramento or Golden State, the Lakers will need to finish with a better record than those two teams in order to pass them in the standings.
The Lakers will be up against an incredibly shorthanded Grizzlies team on Friday night. Memphis is without almost every single one of their top rotation players in this game, which leaves little excuse for the Lakers. With everything they are playing for, and up against a very shorthanded opponent, Los Angeles should certainly find a way to win this game.
The status of James will be something to follow, but as previously mentioned, he has played several games where he was initially listed as questionable with this injury designation. Needless to say, the Lakers need their superstar forward in the lineup as they battle for positioning in the Western Conference.
