LISTEN: 911 calls paint picture of day NMB duck hunter, Tyler Doyle, went missing
LITTLE RIVER, S.C. (WPDE) — Editor’s note: The player above shows a video, which aired on January 26, 2024. ABC15 spoke to a pastor who has ties to the Doyle family. The 911 calls can be heard in the players below.
It has officially been one year since North Myrtle Beach boater and duck hunter, Tyler Doyle went missing off the Little River coast.
Doyle and a friend were duck hunting around 4 p.m. on January 26, 2023, on a 16-foot jon boat at the jetties.
1 YEAR LATER: Unsolved disappearance of NMB duck hunter, Tyler Doyle
According to the South Carolina Dept. of Natural Resources (SCDNR), Doyle dropped the friend off on the north jetty and he went to put out duck decoys. The two stayed in contact on the phone. SCDNR said the friend lost sight of Doyle as he went around the south jetty.
