Jack Harrison’s Leeds United message after Everton move confirmed
Jack Harrison has taken to social media to wish Leeds United well, after sealing another loan switch away from Elland Road.
His departure comes as a blow for the Whites, who could have benefitted from keeping him in their first-team squad or selling him for a decent fee, with the club needing to balance their books following their play-off final defeat against Southampton last month.
However, the player has opted to re-join Everton on loan, having enjoyed a respectable campaign at Goodison Park last term.
Whilst Harrison has the opportunity to perform at the top level again, Leeds will be looking to get themselves back to the Premier League at the second time of asking, having fallen just short last term.
Registering 90 points last season, the West Yorkshire side can count themselves unlucky not to be competing in the top tier during the 2024/25 campaign, but they must put that behind them as they look to redeem themselves.
Player sales will probably be required to keep the Whites within financial limits and if that’s the case, the likes of Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto could be in contention to secure an exit from Elland Road.
Those players will need to be replaced if they go, along with any other first-teamers who depart the West Yorkshire side this summer, with a number of players’ futures uncertain.
