Kate Garraway has issued an apology on Instagram as she returned to social media.
The ITV Good Morning Britain presenter confirmed she had undertaken a break.
Kate was focusing on “family stuff”, the GMB host confirmed on Instagram today.
Kate wrote: “Hey sorry not been on here for a while – went below the radar for a bit to focus on home & family stuff – more of that to come .
“But what lovely news to come back to @smoothradio with this morning – our show now has a record breaking over 2.5 million listeners !
“So glad you love the show as much as I do & here’s the star of it – my brilliant producer @jamesdanielsjd . See you tomorrow at 10 !”
Kate has been open about husband Derek Draper’s battle with Covid ever since he caught the virus in March of last year.
Derek entered a coma on April 5 and was only released from hospital earlier this year.
Kate has created an award winning documentary Finding Derek on ITV 1 for those suffering with Covid and all those who have lost a loved one to the deadly disease.
Kate and Derek share two children together, Darcey and Billy, who both featured in the ITV doc too.
