Another Sad Tragedy: R.I.P. The devastating DEATH of a Premier league footballer who…..

Documentary airs into fatal Lymm crash and double life of Premier League footballer

A DOCUMENTARY into the devastating death of a former Premier league footballer who died in a head-on crash in Lymm has aired on Netflix.

In the new hour-long episode, the wife of the former Aston Villa and Bolton star, Jlloyd Samuel, details the double life her husband had been leading, which she only discovered about shortly after his death.

Samuel’s, 37 at the time, died in an accident near Lymm on May 15 2018, after his Range Rover Sport veered into the path of an oncoming Renault van on West Lane in Broomedge shortly before 8am.

An inquest into his death, which took place at Cheshire Coroner’s Court in 2019, revealed only minutes earlier, he had dropped his two children off with a friend before school.

A cyclist riding ahead of Samuel’s vehicle described seeing the horrific crash in motion, watching the Range Rover in ‘mid-air’ before seeing it crash onto a grass verge and burst into flames.

And a toxicology report noted within the inquest found the former footballer to have been more than double the legal drink diving limit.

Bringing to light the double-life her husband had led up to his death six years ago in the new documentary, widow Emma Pritchard, revealed that shortly after the tragedy she was informed by a friend that Samuel’s face was seen in various images on another woman’s Instagram page.

The owner of the Instagram account, Helia Sehimi, had pictures of days spent with the former pro-footballer and had a seven-year deep relationship with him, following their first meeting back when Samuel was playing football in Iran.

It was alleged in the show  that the footballer had converted to Islam and was preparing to take Helia as a second wife.

The documentary, The Footballer, His Wife, and the Crash, is available to stream on Netflix currently.
