In 2024, Iglesias made a significant impact after joining the Mets. He began the season with the Triple-A Syracuse Mets, posting a .273/.309/.442 slash line with seven home runs and 29 RBIs. His performance earned him a promotion to the major leagues on May 31, 2024. By the All-Star break on July 14, Iglesias was batting .380 with a .999 OPS. During this period, the Mets posted a 26–13 record, the best in MLB. His Spanish-language song, “OMG,” became the team’s anthem.
