Even as a young bloke, Adam was always asking questions, learning from the older players, and constantly looking for ways to get better,” Mead said.

Despite being thrust into a leadership role at Souths at a young age, Reynolds demonstrated an uncanny calmness under pressure and a natural ability to organize and control the game. “It’s hard to believe he was so young when he started taking charge of games,” Mead recalled. “Even in tight situations, Adam never looked flustered. His ability to stay calm and execute under pressure is something that’s set him apart throughout his career.”
One of the most telling signs of Reynolds’ potential, according to Mead, was his vision for the game. “He could read the play like a veteran, even when he was just starting out,” Mead said. “That rugby league IQ, that’s something you can’t teach, and Adam had it from the beginning.”
