Norman, OK, November 17, 2024** – The University of Oklahoma women’s basketball team delivered a record-breaking performance on Saturday, dominating their opponents in a 92-45 victory to improve to 3-0 on the season. The win marked the third consecutive blowout victory for the Sooners, and they shattered multiple team records in the process.
The Sooners’ offensive outburst was nothing short of historic, as they set a new program record for most points scored in a single game during the season opener. Their 92-point tally surpassed the previous high of 88 points, which had stood since 1998. Head coach Jennie Baranczyk’s squad exhibited an explosive offense, shooting an impressive 56.7% from the field and draining 14 three-pointers – the most in a single game in over a decade for Oklahoma.
