Florida commit Mack Mulhern recaps weekend official visit.
The Florida Gators welcomed their first group of fall official visitors this past weekend for the team’s blowout win over Kentucky. Of those weekend visitors on campus, Scottsdale (AZ) Horizon 2025 long snapper Mack Mulhern was the lone name that’s already set plans in place to join the program. He’s currently committed to the Orange and Blue as a preferred walk on, but the expectation is that once the scholarship limits are increased next fall for him to be a scholarship player on the roster.
He announced his intentions to join the program at the end of July, before this past weekend, he was last in Gainesville in the month of June. This weekend was a chance for him to get a much deeper look at the program, as well as attend his first ever game inside The Swamp.
The game day atmosphere is insane, and it was just a really awesome trip,” Mulhern told Swamp247. “This was the first SEC game I’ve been to, so I’ve never seen anything like that. Just a great time overall. Love the campus, love the coaches. Just a really good time. The campus is really nice, and thought it was a really active campus. I thought the apartments for the players were really nice too. Just the area and campus seemed like a cool place to be at. The biggest highlight of me was seeing the game. Getting to see how things are, and see how the team is really playing well.”
