Josh Addo-Carr’s VERY revealing post after cocaine scandal put his footy career on life support.

Footy star Josh Addo-Carr took to Instagram on Wednesday to re-post an inspirational quote from the movie Night At The Museum.

The NRL star has been heavily linked with a move away from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in recent months.

It comes after the 29-year-old had tested positive for cocaine during a random roadside drug test in September.

The test came a week before Canterbury’s finals defeat by Manly on September 15.

 

The winger has maintained his innocence throughout, vehemently denying that he took the illegal substance but ruled himself out of the game.

 

He had accepted a police fine and a driving suspension following the incident.

 

The NRL has confirmed that a breach notice had been given to the winger almost a month ago.

 

‘The National Rugby League (NRL) today issued Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs player Josh Addo-Carr with a breach notice alleging a breach of the NRL Code of Conduct,’ the NRL said.

Addo-Carr was issued with a penalty notice by NSW Police earlier this month for the offence of “Presence of prescribed illicit drug in person’s oral fluid, blood or urine” while driving a motor vehicle.

 

‘The breach notice alleges that Addo-Carr has engaged in conduct which is against the law and has brought the game and his club into disrepute.’

The Canterbury star had been offered a four-match ban and a $15,000 fine as part of that breach notice, according to The Daily Telegraph.

 

The outlet also claimed in September that the rugby league star may ‘not be in a position to offer Addo-Carr a new deal’ with the Sydney Morning Herald now claiming that the Dragons have shown an interest in holding talks with Addo-Carr.

 

And in a revealing post on Instagram, Addo-Carr may have dropped a major hint that he could be about to make a move to another NRL club.

On Wednesday he shared a video on his story from Instagram user @rotquotes, portrays a scene between Ben Stiller and Robin Williams from Night At The Museum.

 

Williams says to Stiller: ‘It’s time for your next adventure!’

 

To which Stiller, who plays night-shift security guard Larry Daley in the film, replies: ‘I have no idea what I’m going to do tomorrow?’

 

Williams responds: ‘How exciting!’

 

It is also understood Addo-Carr has been spending some time with his family in recent weeks with Michael Carayannis explaining to SEN Radio last week that his partner, Lakaree Smith, is close to giving birth so he has ‘put things on the back-burner a little bit.’

It comes as general manager Phil Gould has urged Addo-Carr to decide on where his future might lie.

 

‘I spoke to his manager the other day, and all I’ve asked the manager and Josh to do is to consider their own future, what they think is best, (and) for him to sit down quietly with his family and have a think about what’s happened,’ Gould said.

 

‘I like Josh. He’s been very good for our club, he’s certainly been an asset to us. It’s unfortunate that he keeps letting himself down in this regard at different times.

 

‘I want him to consider what’s best for his future and then come back and have a talk to me.’
